Depression has many different causes such as developmental issues and traumatic life events. Most people experience feelings of depression from time to time. Symptoms of depression can range from feelings of restlessness to complete hopelessness, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Depression affects our relationships, work life and self-esteem. Talk therapy can help us through these times and bring hope back to our lives.

Relationship and family issues can be difficult to figure out on our own. Some problems that can come up are related to communication and sharing our differences with one another. Abuse, developmental trauma and bereavement in the family can also have a devastating effect on a person’s life. It can be very helpful to have a safe, empathic space to take the time to heal from these issues.

We all go through a lot of changes in our lives, some big and some small. Sometimes all these changes can leave us feeling empty. We might feel as if we do not know who we are any more and what our values and direction in life might be. It can be very helpful to take the time in counselling to explore these deep issues.

We all feel stressed and worried from time to time. When we have a lot on our minds, life can seem overwhelming and we might not see a way forward. Talking to someone can often give you a different perspective and new hope for your future. In addition, counselling can be a very helpful way to explore coping mechanisms for difficult times.

Counselling is a helpful way to work through challenges we all face in life. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to listen, explore, learn new coping mechanisms and heal from pain. I also offer help to those who simply want to embark on a journey of personal development.  Whatever your reason for coming to therapy, counselling can be a very worthwhile experience of self-discovery that will change the way you live your life.

Fees: €60 per session. Low-cost options available for students and those on low incomes.  Sessions last 50 – 60 minutes
